Enkele plenaire lezers zijn: Dan Shechtman (Nobelprijs Chemie 2011), Mischa Bonn (KNCV Gouden Medaille 2009), Maria Antoinetta Loi (Minerva Prijs 2011), Cees Dekker (Fysica Prijs 2012) en Huib Ovaa (KNCV Gouden Medaille 2011).

Er zijn parallelsessies met actuele onderwerpen op het grensvlak van beide disciplines. Er wordt ingezoomd op interdisciplinaire thema's zoals Oceans and Atmosphere of Tomorrow, Microfluidics & Microreactors, Medical Imaging, Artificial Photosynthesis/solar fuel, Complex Analyses, Food & Nutrition en High Energy Physics. Zowel actuele ontdekkingen, als de impact van fysica en chemie op mens en maatschappij, krijgen een plek tijdens de presentaties. Voorbeelden zijn Chemistry and Physics of Life, New Materials en Soft Matter.  

Op de beursvloer kunt u in contact komen met diverse organisaties.

Young Speakers contest

The EPJ Young Speakers Contest is a contest for the best (oral) presentation of a young speaker. For this contest, a ‘young speaker’ is defined as a PhD student or a postdoc within 5 years of obtaining his/her PhD. The presentation of maximum 12 minutes (in English) should discuss the own scientific work and will take place in the plenary session. The audience will determine the winner by vote.The prize will be a cash award (750 euros), a certificate, and eternal fame.

Applications must be sent to the NNV before 15 April. Depending on the number of applications, a preselection will take place in the first half of May. To register for the contest, please click here.
